I really enjoyed being in your class. You are an EXCELLENT teacher; I would highly recommend you to anyone and everyone wanting to learn to dive. I was honestly so terrified to go underwater, but ended up having a great experience because of your patience and comfortable teaching style. We definitely lucked out when we got you as our instructor!!! I'm finally getting excited about my trip (after lots of time feeling scared before I took your class). MP

I've been trying to email you ever since I went night diving with Lisa last week. Just like my diving schedule this summer, I guess I'm also backed up with emails.
In any case, I wanted to thank you for letting me join the dive so late in the day, and helping me out in getting all the gear I needed.
Please also forward this message to Lisa, who was so kind and patient throughout the whole dive, before it, and after. I had a great time, even though it was very hard to fight the current (I'm not used to diving at such shallow waters).
I hope I'll have some more time soon for future dives.

Well, I'm only weeks away from my first real dive trip--I'm heading down to the Caymans soon, and I couldn't go down there without thanking you folks for all the guidance I've gotten over this summer.  Marc was a great instructor, as was Mr. Fussy Pants.  There is a world of difference between getting certified to dive, and getting the advice of such highly qualified people.  While I had been certified to dive, learning from you folks really set me up to be successful and really get the most of my scuba diving.  You folks really brought me to the next level. 

   I'm not really into the PADI set of instruction, and while I did get some extra qualifications from it, I valued so much that you staff was not focused on badges, they were always just trying to teach the skills of diving.  Every time I went out with your instructors I learned a great deal--more than any certification could ever mean. 
   So thank you for all you guys taught me this summer.  Walking into your dive shop was always a pleasure, with warm welcomes, pleasant people who knew my name, and great service.  You guys are top notch! Matt L

"Michael Wright was an excellent instructor for PADI's Rescue Diver course. While both instructor and students agreed that PADI's recommended course could and should be longer, with more open-water time, Michael made these very serious subjects fun and engaging while effectively delivering a large amount of critical information in a necessarily short timeframe. In particular, Michael handled the predictable demoralization following the pool session with aplomb, ensuring that students regarded the class time as a great place to make mistakes while learning from each of them. As a result, my own awareness in each subsequent dive has been expanded to include my fellow divers in a way that I can better appreciate than describe - especially when I get the warm and fuzzy feeling of other, similarly certified divers in the water, who I now know will have the same awareness of me.
Rescue Diver certification should be considered the minimum certification level for all serious divers.

I wanted to write you a quick note of thanks for the great instruction this past weekend that I received during the classroom/knowledge and contained water dives for the open water certification. Both Michael and Marc were great... very personable, very eager, very open to questions, and all around provided a great introduction to SCUBA and the culture around it. I just wanted to take a moment to say how pleased I am with everything the
PG Dive crew and in particular Jane Wilkinson have done to make my
certification so enjoyable. Jane is a great instructor and she really helped
alleviate any apprehension I felt during my open water dives. She is both
professional and fun which is sometimes a hard combination to come by. I
couldn't possibly say enough good things about her. I also realize you
didn't have to run the class with just me as a student so I appreciate that
as well.
Anyway I think I may be hooked on this diving thing and I look forward to

I attained my goal, and accomplished my open water diver certification in time for my Hawaii honeymoon.  Genevieve did all the instruction with me before the open water dives, and was successful at teaching me the necessities to help me feel comfortable under the water.  She was incredibly patient, and brimmed with enthusiasm, and I have to admit it rubbed off on me.  Jane, Jim, and Paul helped me complete the open water dives at Back Beach, Rockport,  and it was AMAZING how safe I felt, and how AWESOME it was to see the ocean life below the surface.  I really appreciated all the individual instruction.  I couldn't have done it without such a great and knowledgeable team of divers.  I would recommend PG Dive to anyone wanting to learn scuba.  Now I can't wait until Hawaii, and to scuba again!
